Crossfit Mount Kisco

Crossfit Mount Kisco came to Techcare, LLC to help them with a website for their gorgeous new facility. We put together a simple yet comprehensive site for them in record time. Andrew, owner of Crossfit Mount Kisco, knew exactly what he wanted as far as content on the site, but was unsure of design and what back end to use. We guided Crossfit Mount Kisco to use WordPress, which would make updating their site simple on a regular basis, which they do on a weekly and daily basis.

Crossfit did not have many photos to use, and was unsure of how to get some. TechCare instructed them to take a bunch of photos with their camera and we would see how those came out. That was a perfect solution for their site. Besides one photo, none of the photos on the site are stock photography. Original photos really lend a unique and personal touch to the website.

Camp Playland of Redding and New Canaan

Camp Playland of Redding and Camp Playland of New Canaan recently underwent an overhaul of their websites. Both sites are now hosted on WordPress and have a fresh new design.

TechCare wanted to incorporate the green of the camp’s logo into the design, but this green can be a difficult color to work with on a computer monitor. We pulled this off by subtly using the green along with some other fresh hot colors, yellow and blue, in a bar that scrolls across the top of each page. We also used this green in the navigation on top of a cool, funky font, and on a few buttons around the site.

For the editing and back end of the site, WordPress is much easier for the camp administrators to maintain than their older HTML static site. No longer did we need to worry about pages being checked out, passwords not working, computers with editing software being upgraded, software license key codes getting lost, etc, etc.

New content was also added to the site! Some new pages were added to each site, but not many. The main additions were new photos, videos, and the overall look and feel of the site.

Camp Playland knows that if you would like to continue to attract customers to your business, you need to look like you are maintaining your business. Today, that means maintaining a website that looks and feels “current”.

Williams and Company

Years ago TechCare, LLC custom designed a website for Williams & Company, a body and skin care clinic in Darien, CT. The site was designed with only Williams & Company in mind. The background color is the actual Benjamin Moore color that is on the walls of the spa. Almost all of the photos on the website were shot on location.

This site was programmed years ago using HTML and CSS. Williams & Company wanted an easier way to update their website, so they decided to move to a Content Management System that is based online. They chose WordPress as their back end for their site.

TechCare, LLC took the original HTML website and used a theme and CSS to create the site you see now. It looks almost identical to the beautiful website that was created years ago, and is on a platform that Google finds easier to index and the employees find easier to update.

Muskegon Lights

Muskegon Lights is comprised of two historic lighthouse in Muskegon, Michigan. These lighthouses could have been in danger of being destroyed, as were many other parts of the entire area, taking a bit of our American history with it. They are now safe, and there is hope that they will be restored close to their original state. TechCare, LLC worked with Muskegon Lights to create a beautiful and extremely informative website for the public. The information on this site is very well written, and the navigation leads the web visitor to find the information they are looking for.

While visiting this site, make sure to take a look at the Photo and Video gallery which has many photos of the exterior and interior of the lights, with wonderful explanations and information.

Having a web presence that looks professional and is full of information will

a) Help with raising the capital necessary to preserve an American historical treasure for all to enjoy

b) Give visitors to the lights information about what they are looking at, where to go, how to get to the lights, etc.

The Hallen School

The Hallen School is a school for students with special needs located in New Rochelle, New York. The school is comprised of an elementary, middle and high school. Taking students through their entire school career gives the students the consistency that some of them need.

The school had no presence on the web when they first called TechCare. We were working with a blank slate, which can be a lot of fun, and a lot of work. The Head of School and the Technology Director worked very hard on the site, writing all of the content and finding photos to fit each page.

Having a website will be instrumental to their business as

a) they can now be found when parents are up late at night, worrying about their children and don’t know where to get help for them, and

b) so that they can use the site as a place for online forms and downloads, such as health forms, applications, and calendars.

Italian Center of Stamford

The Italian Center of Stamford, CT is:

a fitness center
runs fitness programs
has 3 outdoor pools for swimming and lounging

has an indoor pool

has outdoor amenities such as mini-golf, bocce, volleyball
hosts fun, social events for their members
is a full-fledged banquet facility for large weddings, small corporate meetings or outdoor corporate picnics

When TechCare, LLC began working with the Italian Center, the website at that time was difficult to navigate due to the plethora of services and programs they offer to their members. The Italian Center also wanted to add online program registration to their website. They needed to find a back end solution to handle the registrations, as well as laying out a new navigation.

TechCare, LLC began the project with gathering all of the information that the center offers and finding a great way to organize the content. Next, a design that was intuitive, clean, yet followed some design features from their recently designed Banquet website was created. The pages were built out using WordPress as a foundation and a Content Management System. Using Uber Menu was the solution to helping organize and visually present each section of the website to the visitor. The final step was to populate each of the 124 pages with great, current, and informative information for their members. This content included lots of writing, photo editing, and document building.
